Dear Colleague,

We are very happy to have you here in our webpage!

The World Federation of ADHD is a very young organization completely devoted to both increase the awareness and spread the knowledge on ADHD.

We expect to promote the care and study of ADHD across the life cycle. Our previous meetings have been a great success and an invaluable venue to congregate mental health professionals from all continents interested in different facets of the disorder. We are proud of making available a friendly space for worldwide professionals to share their experiences helping patients with ADHD. In addition, we always tried to carefully listen the voice of those suffering from the disorder. So, we had and plan to continue having a patient day in our meetings. Another important achievement of the World Federation is our journal – Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, extremely well conducted by our editor in chief Prof. Gerlach. Recently, it was indexed as part of the PUBMED, increasing the visibility of our journal. This is for sure an excellent outlet for disseminating the science behind ADHD. I would like to invite you to take a look in our table of contents at: www.springer.com/medicine/psychiatry/journal/12402 .

Much more is expected for the near future! We hope to improve our website including more material on different aspects of the disorder and to use internet based learning programs to disseminate scientific knowledge on ADHD. In addition, we expect to create a new ADHD Bulletin targeting professionals interested in ADHD worldwide.

In the end of the day, we hope that we can make the World Federation of ADHD your home for CME and sharing of evidence-based data on ADHD.

Please consider joining us in this initiative both taking part of our meetings (see announcement of the 2013 Milan meeting in this page) and becoming a member of the World Federation of ADHD.

Sincerely yours,

Professor Dr. Luis Augusto Rohde
