Chris Eaton et al. | Stimulant and non-stimulant drug therapy for people with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and epilepsy
The World Federation of ADHD highlights the following paper in July:
In order to assess the effect of stimulant and non-stimulant drugs on children and adults with ADHD and epilepsy, Eaton et al. conducted database research followed by a risk of bias assessment. Two main studies have been identified. The researchers found evidence that use of stimulant drugs is not associated with significant worsening of epilepsy, but higher doses of it may be associated with increased daily risk of seizures.
